KöNIG [king of boylesque] is a pageant unlike any other. It'll take a flawless physique, impeccable style, witty charms, and jaw-dropping original talent to be crowned as the King of boylesque.
This colorful pageant fuses the best in male vaudeville, circus and musical theatre entertainment. Backed by the acclaimed five-piece Dixieland Band, Fromagique, this contest showcases a selection of eight top neo-burlesque performers competing for $500 and a crown & cape designed by Nice Collective.
Contestants will be judged before a celebrity panel of judges in four categories: Style, Fitness, Talent, Personality.

[sfBoylesque] is happy to post selected images from a fun-tastic photoshoot we were in with Brian Kuhlmann's talented team. We had us a blast and are hoping to do many more like it in the future. here are some initial images.
[sfBoylesque] PRIDES it up!
Remember your first Pride? Ours was in 2007, it also happened to be the day of our closing performance of the first run of the show "Boylesque". We took off our clothes and put on some costumes, and with flyers in hand, we hit the streets, gathering an audience for that evening's performance. Last summer's Pride, in addition to dancing on the Swing stage, we also joined Heklina & Cockatillia in their mainstage performance.
This year, oh boy, this year, we're thrilled to report that we've been selected in the Community Donation Partners program. I'm sure you're as thrilled as we are, but you're also wondering, "What exactly does that mean?"
Essentially, 1 gate of this uber-celebration will be staffed by us! Once we find out where we are, we'll let you know. It'd be swell to have you swing by and visit us while we're working the street. SF Pride is June 27th & June 28th.
Saturday you can find us at the corner of Polk and Grove. We will not be doing a gate that day, instead we have been asked to volunteer our time and give people the opportunity to experience PRIDE as celebration. If you are camera friendly and want to photograph yourself with some of our most recognizable cast members come see us, we'll be doing our thing the way best way we know how. Its also the evening of König. Catch the guys before the event starts, who knows you might even get a preview of the evening performance.
Sunday. Sunday we are lucky in that PRIDE Committee selected [sfBoylesque] to be a host party at the biggest gate of pride. Right by the UN Plaza, by fulton and leavenworth - come see us, say hello, get your discount sticker from yours trully. (and maybe even from Trully herself. Its gonna be a lot of fun. and a great way to walk into the festivities for sure.
